Carlisle Bridge (c.1877)

Detail of Carlisle Bridge (now O'Connell Bridge) showing a decorative Keystone of Neptune. This Keystone was removed during the widening of the bridge during the 1870s and is now mounted in an arch in a former warehouse, now design studio, in the docklands. The balustrades were also removed during the building works and now form a boundary wall in front of Clonturk House in Drumcondra, Dublin.
